One of the first steps to successful mosquito management is data collection. Mosquitos are collected in industry standard mosquito collection traps. Samples are then identified into species. There are over 80 species of mosquitoes in Florida, different mosquitoes live in different environments and have the potential to transmit different viruses. Once adult populations have reached a certain threshold ULV/fogging is often necessary.

One of the easiest methods to reduce mosquito potential is through source reduction. Mosquitos require a water source in order to breed, simply put, eliminating water can help. Sometimes source reduction is not possible.

Adulticide applications are conducted by trailed, licensed professions, using EPA-approved products. Applications are based on data collected and environmental conditions. All aspects of the pesticide labels are rigorously followed to ensure a safe effective treatment.
